Hot as Heck July Hike

Ready for a REAL hike?  A pretty tough one that will test you…that is a good thing.  To push through the hard stuff allows you to take this natural endurance into the rest of the year (and beyond).  We will be attempting to go the 9 miles out and back to visit the region’s largest sycamore trees, the trucks as big around as your car.

Hypnhighland park trailotic Hiking is the best way to balance physically, mentally and emotionally.

Hikers will release (thru sweat probably) the old outdated ideas and make room for the new and more vital thoughts that can carry you thru the rest of the year.  A great mid-year reset.

Highland Park Trail in Lucas TX off Snider Rd, near Lavon Lake. Meet at the boat ramp parking area. I’ll send a PIN to registrants. PLEASE hydrate before the hike, no alcohol the night before.  Bring at least 32 oz of water.  I will have coconut water and Gatorade for you as well.

Early start:  8 am Registration required. $35. Wear long pants (breathable) there is tall Johnson Grass in some areas.  I have never gotten chiggers out there, just so you know.  :)

It will be hot, but much of the trail is shaded.  There are tables at the turn around spot but no benches to rest along with way…only do this if you consider yourself fit. As a member of the trail association I have access to CareFlight, but do not want to have to use it. SO IMPORTANT TO BE HYDRATED WHEN YOU ARRIVE.  No alcohol the night before and keep breakfast light…fruit would be great.
