The practice of hypnosis is at its fullest potential when the hypnotist and the client go with the flow.
This flow creates an environment for insight and empowerment:
Effortless Results– I meet the client where they are, nothing is forced, results follow.
Responsiveness– I watch for visual clues that provide insights in acknowledgment of physical and emotional shifts: smiles, frowns, raised eyebrows, foot twitching, sudden movements, etc.
Unobtrusive– If client is stuck, they meet their block naturally. Nature is a teacher. Like water, we go around the expression of energy. What they already know and what they have already experienced in brought into the sessions.
Hypnosis is a state wherein a client can flow into their deepest nature, the true self, and discover vast inner resources: creativity, memory, insight, truths and more.
A hypnotist must embody going with the flow, if nothing is happening in the session we stay present in that nothing and out of that stillness something arises.
I have sat silent with a client for 10 minutes and then, the deep sigh and the insight is there.
The goal becomes to have the flow of the experience carry over to one’s own life. We always want everything smooth and easy and fast, practicing hypnosis like this helps the client in their daily life, to learn to go with the flow.
